HOW IT WORKS

Upon your arrival in our quiet colonic procedure room, you will be greeted by a smiling specialist, soft lighting, and beautiful décor. Your specialist will show you how to position yourself on the table and then step away so that you can do so privately. Once you are in position, you will be taught how to use the knob to control water flow.

The flow of temperature-regulated water begins. The tube slowly fills your colon with the filtered water, which works to loosen and soften impacted feces and mucous in your colon. The device then flushes away the particles. The process continues for 30 – 45 minutes. During the procedure, the assisting specialist may gently massage your colon, or you may do so yourself while the specialist gives you complete privacy.

How To Prepare:

During the 2 days prior to your colon cleanse, avoid red meat and limit raw vegetables.

You should drink plenty of fluids – juices, teas, and (most importantly) water. Avoid sodas and coffee, as these items are harmful to the colon and could cause cramping.

During the TWO HOURS BEFORE your procedure, you must fast – no food or fluids.

After The Procedure:

We will provide you with water and a supplement to help rebuild electrolytes and replace good bacteria that you may have lost.

Continue to drink plenty of fluids – including distilled water, juices, herbal teas, and electrolyte building liquids such as Gatorade.

Replace intestinal flora – this is done by taking acidophilus which is available at local health food stores or pharmacies.

Eat pureed or soft foods for at least 24 hours after the procedure.

Avoid eating raw vegetables for three (3) days after the procedure. However, cooked vegetables and raw fruit can be eaten. Be sure to chew any food that you eat thoroughly.

If you plan to use colonics as a preparatory cleansing method prior to an endoscopic procedure, please let our staff know so we can correctly schedule the procedure and provide instructions.
